HiRISE HiCat Review
This is an informal peer review for ascertaining the design of and
planning for the HiRISE Catalog System (HiCat) in the context of
the HiRISE Operations Center (HiROC). It is intended to identify
specific action items for HiROC staff in order to improve the HiCat
system.
Review Panel Charter
The peer review board charter is to:
- Determine the technical soundness of the HiCat System in terms of:
- Table Structure
- Security
- Performance (load-balancing, replication, etc.)
- Data Integrity
- Reliability
- Assess the HiCat design and planning against its requirements.
- Determine if the implementation plan is adequate.
Reviewer Tasks
- During the review, we are asking the review board to assess our HiCat
design and implementation plans.
- Questions and comments are encouraged during the presentations. There
will be additional time at the end of the presentations for further
discussions.
- So that we may capture the concerns or issues of the review
panel, we expect them to fill out Request
for Action (RFA) forms during (or prior to) the review. Blank
RFAs will be available on the day of the review. Please try to be
as specific as possible about the problem and provide a recommendation
on how the problem could be addressed whenever possible.
- We will discuss each RFA at the end of the presentations.
